Eating a nutritious diet is extremely helpful to prevent many diseases, such as diabetes and obesity. Unfortunately, access to proper and nutritious food is not always convenient, and that's the main reason why Andreas Karlsson created VEAT, a network of vending machines offering delicious and well-balanced meals prepared by prominent Swedish chefs.

This startup has the goal to make healthy and sustainable food affordable and accessible for everyone. Currently located in warehouses and offices, VEAT vending machines offer a selection of salads, wraps, meals, and snacks ranging from 3 to 10 USD. To reduce food waste, unsold products are donated to charitable organizations.

What would you think if we told you that most companies alter their juice or smoothies via pasteurization or HPP, stretching juice shelf life from 2-3 days to 40+ days? That isn’t very healthy or fresh, to be honest.

Enter the modern way to juice. JuiceBot is the world’s first robotic juice dispenser that focuses on keeping light and heat oxidation out of your drink. Every drop of juice or smoothie you get from a JuiceBot machine has been created within 48 hours of being placed inside the kiosk. In this way, JuiceBot aims to reach its goal: to make freshly made, truly organic smoothies and juices as accessible and easy to find as a soda machine.

Piestro is a prototype that contains fresh, quality ingredients in its interior to make the most delicious pizzas at the lowest prices. It also offers an experience with a futuristic touch: the customer will only have to select the ingredients via the screen or app and enjoy how their pizza is made in just 3 minutes. Vending machines have been around since the 1880s dispensing all kinds of items that range from stamps to books, bananas, cigarettes, toys, and many others. But what constitutes over 80% of vending machines’ contents in America are chips, candies, sweet baked goods, and a wider variety of unhealthy snacks.

Farmer’s Fridge is a Chicago-based company making healthy food available in vending machines. Each vending machine is packed with a variety of fresh meals made from scratch, packed with care, and delivered overnight, while unsold food is donated to local community members in need through partnerships with area food pantries.
