One of the industries that contribute most to climate change is food production, and at the same time, it is the one that reports the greatest annual waste. Tristram Stuart, an international award-winning author, speaker, and expert on the environmental and social impacts of food, experienced it firsthand when he visited a bread factory and noticed how thousands of slices of bread were thrown away daily.

Tristam came up with a recipe for a craft beer brewed with surplus fresh bread that would otherwise be wasted. Surprisingly, Toast production has also resulted in less land, water, and energy waste, as well as a smaller carbon footprint. In addition, all profits go to charities fixing the food system.
